A Speech Made in the Ʋpper House of Par∣liament, against the Supemacy to be in Her Majesty; by Nicholas Heath, Lord Chan∣cellour of England, in the first year of the Reign of Queen Elizabeth, above an 100 years fince.
A further Prosecution of the Settle∣ment of this Change of Religion Established by Parliament, and of the Opposition of the Catholick Clergy against this strange Innovation
An account of the Years, in which these Changes in Religion were made.
Gentlemen of the Reformation, this fol∣lowing Discourse I assure you, is not intended to make any Reflection upon your Tenets; but meerly out of zeal to your good, and desiring the Almighty to give you his Grace, not to be delud∣ed by the Principles of the first promo∣ters of the Reformation: For it may well be, that every one of you does not, know the Principles of those first Au∣thors of the Reformation; therefore out of Charity and zeal to you, and the good of your Souls I declare them here.

Here follows the Sense of Scripture as Interpreted by the Church, Councils, and Fathers, in lieu of those fond fancies which the Protestant Preachers have possest the people with, as the belief of Catholicks, faithfully repor∣ted from a true zeal and affection to my Country-men, that they may not plead Ignorance before the Tribunal of the Almighty, in so important a con∣cern as their Salvation, to the mani∣fest hazard of their Souls Eternity.
Testimonies of the SCRIPTURE, evidently convincing, that there can be no hope of Salvation for such as are separated from the Church, (which is the Holy Ca∣tholick and Apostolick Church) by Heresie or Schism.
Testimonies of the Fathers, shew∣ing their Affection and Zeal to Catholick Unity, and their Detestation of Schism and Di∣visions.
What ways the Church has made use of, to settle mens minds in the Doctrin of the Sacrament of the Eucharist, or the Lord's Last Supper.
The Truth of the Eucharist, and Real Presence of the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucha∣rist, Confirmed by the Testimo∣nies of the Fathers.
Concerning the Exposition of these words, THIS IS MY BODY.
