- Full Artifact Description
- The above measurements do not reflect warp and weft direction, as there are two smaller pieces of the same fabric that have been attached at right angles. The fabric is yellowed woven wool. There is a clean area near the center with stitches along part of the edge, where a patch may have been attached.

- Sewing
- Three rows of stitches were used to attach the small fragment at lower left. These stitches measure from 0.2 cm to 0.5 cm long. Some are overcast, some are running stitches. Running stitches, from 0.3 cm to 0.5 cm long, edge the clean patch. There are a few blue fibers caught in some of these stitches. Two rows of stitching attach the small fragment at the upper right. The running stitches are four-strand and measure from 0.4 cm to 0.7 cm long. The overcast stitches measure mostly 0.3 cm long. Part of an outside edge of this attached piece was folded, with one 0.3 cm long stitch remaining. The top edge was folded and sewn with stitches that measure from 0.2 cm to 0.7 cm long. There is a 1 cm long stitch along this edge towards the left side. The yarns used for all the stitching are very similar.
