Full Artifact Description: Two fragments of fine woven wool fabric that have been sewn together.; Fragment A - yellow warp, 7 cm of blue weft and 0.6 cm of yellow weft. The yellow weft band is folded over. There are a few orange stitches present.; Fragment B - brown warp and weft with 1.3 cm of green/blue weft band. There are two small linen slit tapestry elements in the blue band. Two more very small pieces of the same fabric are attached at the yellow weft band of fragment A.

Condition Notes: Dirty and worn. Both fragments have edge tears, fragment A has several interior holes. The orange stitches in fragment A are very deteriorated. Minor edge fraying.
Fabric Structure: Weft-faced plain weave and slit tapestry (fragment b).

Sewing: Fragment A was folded along the yellow weft band and sewn with two strand yellow overcast stitches, 0.2 cm to 0.4 cm long. Fragment B was folded and sewn to A along the folded edge of A. These 2-ply overcast stitches are from 0.3 cm to 1.1 cm long. There are also a few brown stitches, 0.3 cm each, used to attach the two fragments. There are several very deteriorated orange stitches along the fold of fragment A and along part of a warp-wise edge. The only intact stitches are from 0.3 cm to 0.5 cm long.
