An ACCOUNT Of the LIFE of The Reverend Mr. David Brainerd.

PART I. From his Birth, to the Time when he began to devote himself to the Study of Divi|nity, in order to his being fitted for the Work of the Ministry.

PART II. From about the Time that he first began to devote himself more especially to the Study of Divinity, 'till he was examined and licensed to preach, by the Association of Ministers belonging to the Eastern Dis|trict of the County of Fairfield in Con|necticut.

PART III. From the Time of his being licensed to preach, by the Association, 'till he was examined in New-York, by the Correspondents or Commissioners of the SOCIETY in Scotland for propagating Christian Knowledge, and approved and appointed as their Missionary to the INDIANS.

PART IV. From the Time of his Examination by the Correspondents of the Society for propa|gating Christian Knowledge, and being appointed their Missionary, to his first Entrance on the Business of his Mission among the Indians at Kaunaumeek.
